YIMBY: 20-Story Building Planned at 123 Linden Boulevard in Flatbush
A former nursing home campus at 123 Linden Boulevard in Flatbush may grow a 20-story residential building with community facilities. The developer has filed another round of building applications and dramatically scaled up the size of the project, which started out as a seven-story, 57-unit apartment building.
The development has expanded to 384 apartments and 115,430 square feet of community facilities – six times larger than when it was originally filed in August. The building would reach 229 feet into the air and span 376,507 square feet.
Those 384 units would be divided across 261,076 square feet of residential space, for little average units measuring only 679 square feet.
The cellar and first floor would have a 288-car garage.
A century-old, Colonial Revival nursing home currently occupies the property, and the developer plans to build in front of the historic structure rather than demolishing it.
