GRID from the KC development forum, his two sons, and myself went up in this helicopter this afternoon --

So, thanks GRID for letting me tag along.

A lot of these photos are somewhat crappy due to some dust/dirt/crap inhabiting the innards of my Canon. Seeing the damage these dust bunnies did to these photos has motivated me to take action over the matter soon.

So here we go... afternoon of Wednesday, May 17, 2006.

I am so freaking hacked off about these damn spots!

The West Side area:

There goes Interstate 35.

Union Hill.

More dust spots in the Plaza shots:

Another ruined photo. The dust bunnies must be deracinated with haste.

Epperson House at UMKC:

UMKC's Bloch School of Business and Public Administration:

I'll get around to posting all the suburban crap we flew over in a few days.

These photos are an excellent contribution, thanks for sharing them. Kansas City looks bigger than I expected, also is it as clean looking on the ground as it looks from the sky?

KC looks awesome! The trees are great!! AND the city looks so peaceful and orderly from above, like a screenshot from SimCity :) Every city should have that many trees.
Great pix. Can't wait to see pix of that new arena when it's done.
