On 6 March 2014, FIFA announced that bidding had begun for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.
Member associations interested in hosting must submit a declaration of interest by 15 April 2014,
and provide the complete set of bidding documents by 31 October 2014.

The FIFA Executive Committee will select the hosts in 2015.
In principle, FIFA prefer the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup to be hosted by the same member association,
but if circumstances require, FIFA reserves the right to award the hosting of the events separately.

The following countries have indicated interest in becoming applicant nations:

Australia
Korea
Brazil
South Africa
Poland
Sweden

The Korea Football Association (KFA) has applied to host the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The association said on Wednesday that it sent a letter of intent to FIFA to confirm the bid.

FIFA will receive applications by next Tuesday and announce the host around March next year.

Sweden would be my choice.
They haven't got enough Stadium's up to the requirements. They only have the Friends Arena and Tele2 Arena both in Stockholm.

Brazil should wait and see how this years Men's World Cup goes before planing for more and plus they have the Olympics in 2016 so they have enough international spot light time for a couple years post Olympics. Korea but the winter Olympics and the youth Olympics and the 2020 Olympics are all being held in Asia already. Plus the summer universiade games in 2015 which are being held in Korea. Australia would be nice since its been a while since they have hosted a big international event since the 2000 summer Olympics in Sydney. South Africa would be nice since they have all those stadiums from the 2010 Mens World Cup and they did a nice job. Just need to clean up the crime. Poland should see how the Russia-Ukraine problems play out because i don't think FIFA wants a competition right next door to a war zone or close to it. Sweden? Do they have enough stadiums to meet the basic requirements without building and wasting money on stadiums that are going to be used a couple of times and then the local people have to deal with them? My vote goes to Australia!:banana::banana::banana:

2019 FIFA Women's World Cup Bids

I don't know about the exact requirements but I think they are not too high for a Women's World Cup.
I think with some minor renovations they should be fine.

Friends Arena (new) (Solna) 55000
Tele2 Arena (new) (Stockholm) 33000
Swedbank Stadium (Malmö) 24000
Ullevi (Gothenburg) 18800
Olympia (Helsingborg) 17000

And Sweden is the only bidder that has a competitive national team besides Brazil.
And as far as I know they haven't hosted any FIFA tournament in the last 20 years.

Sweden or Australia would be my choice.
Brazil wont bid, We already will host Copa America and Universiade in 2019
Oh please not another World Cup at the far end of the world. Bring it back to Europe where the support for the game is the biggest and travel distances are the shortest. Poland would be a very good choice.

Europe might be the far end of the world for them, no?

No, Europe is not only the birthplace but also the heart chamber of football. The density of players and supports is matched by no other continent. Hence it is correct to say that it is the proximal end of the world.
2019 ?

2015 CANADA

2011 GERMANY

2007 CHINA

2003 USA

1999 USA

1995 SWEDEN

I hope Australia or South Africa get it. But I think South Korea must be the favorites

Australia are the Asian champions, ranked 11 in the world and beat Brazil 2-1 a couple of days ago.

I have never seen Australia doing well at World Cups or Olympics. A friendly match is nothing more than that.

I don't think South Korea is one of the frontrunners in this race. They hosted the 2007 U-17 WC and will host the 2017 U-20 WC. Furthermore I think FIFA wants the Women's WC in Japan badly in 2023. They just haven't bid because of the 2019 Rugby WC and the 2020 Olympics.

Which is nothing special when you look at the stadium capacities. If any other host country had had that amount of over 60000 stadiums the US wouldn't hold that record anymore.

You must not watch the Women's World Cup. In the 2007 World Cup Australia played Brazil in a quarter final and lost 3-2. In 2011 in Germany, Australia was in the same group as Brazil, and lost 1-0. Both teams got through to the knock out stage, and both were knocked out in the quarter finals.

So they've made the quarter finals stage in the last 2 World Cups, both times playing Brazil and both times losing narrowly. How is that not "doing well"? Those aren't friendlies.

If, if, if. MLS stadiums are smaller than Brazilian stadiums, is that why we have a better average attendance than Brazilian Serie A?
