Hi, well good news for Fujairah, in second place now, long way though to catch Singapore, enjoy:
Fujairah has become the world's second largest bunkering centre, overtaking Rotterdam and supplying 12 million tonnes of fuel oil a year, worth Dh9.17 billion ($2.5 billion).
Singapore remains the world's largest bunkering centre with a capacity of 19 million tonnes of fuel oil a year. Now it is followed by Fujairah with 12 million tonnes and Rotterdam in third position with 10 million tonnes, said a report in the Gulf News.
The emirate will be the site of the fourth International Fujairah Bunkering and Fuel Oil Forum (FUJCON 2005) to be held from April 9 to 13.
Participants from over 200 organisations of 20 countries will take part, said Mohammad Obaid Bin Majid, director-general of the Fujairah Department of Industry and Economy.
