Project U/C right now as part of the redevelopment of a mall that stood right next to the Fukuoka Dome. It is supposed to be 2 106m tall towers, but the renders don't really show towers of that height. But without any further height confirmation we keep it at 106m. 1 of the 2 towers is U/C right now, the other one will follow next year.
FUKUOKA 福岡 | The Park House Fukuoka Towers ザ・パークハウス 福岡タワーズ | 106m | U/C
This project is located in the hart of central Fukuoka. It's a now 90m tall tower designed by the Dutch architecture firm OMA. Although it's not designed by Rem Kolhaas himself. The city has recently eased building height restrictions, this has resulted in a taller redesign. The render does show the old design which was only 75m tall.
FUKUOKA 福岡 | Tenjin Business Center Project 天神ビジネスセンタープロジェクト | 90m | Pro
Another project for Island City. This was announced 4 years ago, I haven't seen too much info on it recently. So it's a bit unclear what the current status is. The renders do show a bit of a retro Japanese tower desgin, as if these were towers from the early '90s.

floors: 2x 46
This is the first new project that is announced after Fukuoka increased the maximum building height in the central area around Tenjin. This office / hotel complex will be 110m tall, and could already go U/C this year. The hotel will be the Ritz-Carlton, it's going to be a high quality project. One of the interesting points is that the old school building will be integrated into a public park behind the tower.
