the fyris river

our lovely mosque

the famous grave mounds!

some ancient rocks beside an ancient road

The Svea kings tombs, this was not during the viking ages. The tombs are 1500-1600 years old, if not older..
The church is from the 11-12th century, but at that time it was much bigger, i post some images later of it, and the history of this area

got only two of three mounds on this one :(

standing behind the grave mounds

standing in front of the mounds

standing on a little grave mound to the east of the great grave mounds

standing to the west of the grave mounds

climbing an other grave mound

the great great grandchildren of Hugin and Munin?

:D

end of part 1, on part 2 i'll post pictures i took when i climbed the "Uppsala mountains" and walked through the desert

this ridge is very dry, its almost like a dessert, kinda weird

stone, sand and some nast spiny grass

walking down, the landscpae felt weird, that dont belong here

södra åsarna/southern ridges

"the uppsala desert" i wonder how it feels up there in july-august

up and down upp and down all the time, i didn't even know it was this hilly here

and up again

and down

and back to the south and home
