In a bid to expand its land-bank, Gamuda Bhd has proposed to fork out RM784mil in cash to acquire a company that owns a 619ha leasehold land.
The land is currently classified as agricultural land with lease tenure expiring on 6 October 2093.

The land is located right next to Expressway Lingkaran Tengah (ELITE Highway) between Km 24.0 and Km 26.4.

The land is envisaged to be developed into a ‘New Suburbia’ – a contemporary comprehensive township to meet the ever dynamic market demands by tapping into the great prospects of the burgeoning market in Klang Valley.

The land is strategically located across the ELITE Highway from Selangor Science Park 2 (SSP2).

The land development value would be worth a lot more if Gamuda can secure toll-free access via SSP2 to: (1) Cyberjaya, (2) MEX Highway, and (3) Puchong.

(Note: SSP2 belongs to PKNS which in turn is owned by the state government of Selangor)

The land also shares its southern boundary with Paya Indah Wetlands Park. This opens an opportunity for Gamuda to take advantage of by way of eco-themed development.

Gamuda Land, Maxis collaborates for nation´s first Maxis-delivered 5G township
Bernama July 17, 2019 16:38 pm +08

KUALA LUMPUR (July 17): Gamuda Land and Maxis have formed a strategic partnership to appoint Maxis as the preferred connectivity and solutions provider to create Malaysia’s first Maxis-delivered 5G township for Gamuda Cove.

Both parties signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for Maxis to provide and deploy 5G network infrastructure and services in Gamuda Cove, Gamuda Land’s latest township development.

Under the MoU, Gamuda Land will also be working with Maxis to fibre up parts of Gamuda Cove with its high-speed broadband connectivity.

This partnership will also see both parties exploring the smart city and smart retailing solutions across all Gamuda Land townships in Malaysia, the companies said in a statement today.

“We definitely see technology as a key enabler in driving a smart and sustainable environment into the future but a smart city is not only about cutting-edge technology. It is about smart planning ahead and visualising long-term growth for our townships,” Gamuda Land chief executive officer Ngan Chee Meng said.

Maxis chief executive officer Gokhan Ogut said the company’s commitment is to cater to the evolving digital lifestyles of everyone by reaching even more individuals, homes and businesses through its capabilities in converged solutions.

“This is an important partnership as we unlock the immense potential and possibilities of next-generation technologies and smart solutions,” he said.

The partnership comes on the back of a previous collaboration in 2018 where Maxis provided a customised MaxisOne Home fibre plan for Gamuda Land’s twentyfive.7 township in Kota Kemuning, Selangor.

Maxis has long started its 5G journey, assessing the technology and conducting demo trials in its test lab over the last few years.

In March this year, Maxis emerged as the first to commence 5G live trials in the country to provide a deeper analysis of 5G characteristics, including the use of spectrum in higher bands.

Gamuda Land opens new RM150m ELITE interchange to Gamuda Cove township
By Ahmad Naqib Idris | 2019-09-06 12:54:42
DENGKIL (Sept 6): Gamuda Land, the property arm of construction group Gamuda Bhd, has today opened the new RM150 million Gamuda Cove Interchange here, which provides direct access from the North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE) Highway into the 1,530-acre Gamuda Cove township.

The interchange leads straight into the township's 372-acre commercial business district, where the sales gallery for the project is located.

"Gamuda Cove was planned not just as a smart township, but also as a protected natural sanctuary. Its strategic location, bordering the Kuala Langat forest reserve and Paya Indah Wetlands, allows us to streamline our development, in line with the natural greenery surrounding our community.

"The development of the 60-acre central park is currently ongoing and is expected to be completed before our residents move in," said Gamuda Land executive director Datuk Abdul Sahak Safi during his speech.

Works Minister Baru Bian, who officiated the event, said the people of Dengkil will also benefit from the opening of the interchange, as it gives them direct access to the ELITE Highway and indirectly shortens the travelling distance between Dengkil and the surrounding areas.

"The interchange is equipped with a 12-lane toll plaza, public toilets, surau, wakaf, and parking area, to ensure road users [have] a pleasant and comfortable experience," the minister said.

Gamuda Land said the opening of the interchange paves the way for 25 million visitors coming in through the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and klia2 airports to Gamuda Cove's Discovery Park, which comprises two recreational zones.

The developer said a water theme park is in the pipeline, which is targeted to open by 2021, complementing the Discovery Park and eco-tourism activities at Paya Indah Wetlands.

most likely the track for ECRL.

developers likely draw a station illustration there to convince people to part with their money even if the station there isn't part of ECRL plan for now.
