Looks incredibly salvageable! Why on Earth was this street demolished?
I believe the sad truth is that much more of old Berlin could have been saved but was, for more or less ideological reasons, demolished by the east German authorities. Particularly Fischerinsel was in relatively good shape after WWII and most buildings were still standing:

That is the Turnhalle (gym) of the Allgemeiner Turnverein (ATV) Dresden. The gym was destroyed by the bombings but the two statues at the Entrance survived and were brought to the Lapidarium (which is at the likewise bombed Zionskirche in Striesen today). They were made by Richard König in 1905. The left statue is called "Der Steinwerfer" (lit. "The rock thrower"), the right one is "Der Fechter" (The fencer). While the Steinwerfer is still housed at the Lapidarium, the Fechter found a new place in the court of the sports Gymnasium at the Alte Messe (Ostragehege)

Potsdam - Hauptbahnhof

I don't see many pictures of this one, except for that mid-19th century and a couple of general views of the city where one can only see some of the surrounding buildings. Unfortunately, most images are of the current station and Pirschheide.

It also appears in a 1945 view of the ruined city. Bonus points if someone can find the water tower.
