The Bucana dam, whose construction will be funded by the Wold Bank, will displace 5,000 people in Bucana, Kanyoni and Kiriko. It will cover 350 acres. The construction work will be supervised by Athi Water Service Board.

Must be a dam to serve Nairobi.
"It will displace 5000 people"?

I hope they will manage to resettle those people as some projects like these take a long time because of legal battles.
Good news for Nairobians as clean water is very critical for a CITY :banana:
With the greater Metro Nairobi coming up i.e. Tatu City, Migaa, Thika Greens etc i believe they will all tap into this dam...
What became of this? I guess it was just hot air.
