Going to NYC for a third time

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

I'm going back to NYC for a third time. And we're staying OVER NIGHT! Can't wait. We're planning to see Lady Liberty, Staten Island, & go eat at Colors (which was "Windows"). Does anybody have a suggestion on other places we should see? We already went inside The Empire State Building back in 2000 & saw Ground Zero on our second trip. So we might not do that again. Any place interesting? I just want to make this trip as memoriable as my first trip.

Thank you for any suggestions.

Edit: We're going at the end of August/start of September. Late Christmas gift. It'll be my dad & stepmom going. We'll be staying for a whole weekend.

It might be hard to believe, and this isn't for the faint of heart, but you aren't the first person to ever visit this city and ask for "interesting" places! :runaway:
There have been countless other similar threads, so I'm sure you can find what you want in any one of them :eek:kay:
Sorry. Can someone close this then?
lol, sorry, I'm just being a smartass :D
If you have already been all over downtown and midtown manhattan, my best bet is to go to the other boroughs, go to staten island and south beach for nice views of gigantic Verrazano, although it gets windy there by the ocean but it's the summer so it's sunny
The other basic spots, coney island, if you go late august I think there's the US Open in Flushings, etc

New Jersey! Get a nice view of the skyline from Hoboken / Weehawken. Take the LRT down to Jersey City to admire the new skyscraper developments, and then take the PATH back to Manhattan.
It's ok, 3tmk.

Things have changed. We're going there next week.

I want to stay in Mattahattan. Maybe take a horse thing around the city.

I just need suggestions. >.<

I'll think about that, hkskyline.

Give a day to visit Brooklyn. Go early to the Brooklyn Art Museum and maybe do the Botanical Gardens. Then you can hang out in beautiful Park Slope for lunch and later in the day go to Willamsburg for dinner or hang out at a bar. :)

What easy if you take the double decker gray line tours or cty sights you can hop and hop off.Just like in London.
Go to or a baseball game. If your an Orioles fan, you could see them play in Yankee stadium if they're in town.
