Last fall. Golden Ring tour. Quite unexpectedly we decided to take this 5-day tour. Fabulous experience. Start from Moscow,
next stop - Sergiyev Posad. The weather was atrocious. Icy wind, temperature around 5°C, intermittent drizzle - brrr.

Can't say I've ever heard of The Golden Ring? The churches; their decorations and frescoes are just sublime; magical,in fact!

Yes, this has been very high on my to do-list for some time.

wow! splendid...these Orthodox churches and cathedrals with their unique external architectural designs highlighted with gilded garlic-shaped spires and the equally splendid array of gilded altars, icons and myriad paintings of saints are absolutely the no. one tourists drawers - real priceless gems.

Thanks for comments & viewing. As for Golden Ring - it's towns are both alike & very different at the same time. I hope to visit it ounce again without touristic company, by myself.
