This was one of the only villages that survived the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina. All of Bosnia-Herzegovina could've looked like this, and probably did.

Oh it's much too small for any major projects. A lot of it's old, unimportant buildings were torn down and replaced with modern ones after the war - as you see in the photos. Buildings of cultural or historical important were restored.

The nearest city is Doboj though the connections are somewhat limited. Gradacac and Tesanj surround it, and it's possible to get to both villages from Gracanica. Population wise, I believe Gracanica was the smallest of the three but as it took the lead in the region, it's population increased.

More than a few residents in Gracanica work in Doboj-Jug, Doboj-Istok, Tuzla, and Doboj itself.
