Awesome pics, thanks for posting! I can't believe that I haven't been down to the GC since Q1 was completed!! I've really gotta get down and check it all out.

Hey,

These are some pics of our room of Q1. I went last yr in November. We stayed on level 40. It wasnt even that expensive - way cheaper than a mediocre hotel in Sydney. Rooms r awesome, so is the view and pool. Its very modern - however service, bathroom, and lobby are shit. bathroom was ok. small, but at least it had a spa option in the bath.

Q1- my favourite building - always full of endless imagination ... especially in the Gold Coast !

I thought q1 was purely residential? Did you rent an apartment illegally tisk tisk?

yes its chateau, completed in 72. good guess.
the 80's pic above has a landmark bldg uc top right cnr.its casino built 1986.

Not sure of the year, but it's between 82 (Penisula) and 92 (no Marriot).

I remember going to the coast as a kid in the 70's when Focus was King, it seemed huge

Edit - Cull is quicker and more accurate! :)
