this will be another building on the Greenpoint waterfront, where development is hot. Not very tall, but anything will stand out here.

a neighbor to the future building at 37 West Street, planned by the same developer. Wouldnt be surprised to see it grow taller given the number of floors.

Halcyon plans 234-unit resi building on Greenpoint waterfront

Halcyon Management is looking to construct a 19-story apartment building on the waterfront in Greenpoint, according to a permit application filed with the city’s Department of Buildings Tuesday.
The project, at 27 West Street, will create 234 residential units within nearly 280,000 square feet of space, plus a 120-car attached garage.

It seems all of these towers will be part of a single project. Perhaps it would be more convenient to merge the threads. This particular building looks like it will have two 398' towers, with 29 and 37 West Street being smaller towers slightly further inland.

Renderings Revealed & Permits Approved for 27-41 West Street aka Calyer Place, Greenpoint, Brooklyn

The full development would yield just under 1 million square feet, with 700,000 square feet dedicated to residential use, 10,000 square feet for commercial use, and 7,160 square feet for unspecified communicate facility use. Over 700 apartments are expected to come from the project is fully built. Over 600 parking spaces will be created to accommodate for the demand from residents, retail, and community facility patrons.
