33 floors, 138m, topped out on June 13 2012

It's located in Guangzhou, near the Pearl River, designed by Italian architect Joseph DiPasquale.

Looks like the one in Shenyang

Please don't use that goldish facade on this one, it looks so tacky... :eek:hno:

Something black would be a nice thing for a change here, looking like an evil HQ.

Exactly what we are taught not to do, fit function into a form. Albeit it is interesting the structural aspects. Cladding will make all the difference.

So if its not a rectangle, it's tacky? Come on guys, be more open minded. We'll see how the cladding goes, that will determine if it's tacky.

The building is shaped like a coin...

BTW, is this an office building?

It's tacky because it's a giant coin. I'm fine with uniquely-shaped buildings but this looks very tacky to me, especially if it's golden.

Completely Yuk. The cladding could make this less tacky but overall, a flat, circular building is just no good...
