Rainbow Bridge Station is a transfer station for Line 8, Line 11, Line 13 and Line 22 of the Guangzhou Metro. It is located underground at the intersection of Dongfeng West Road, Liwan Road, at the junction of Liwan District and Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, and to the southwest of Liuhua Lake Park. The station is named after the Rainbow Bridge.


The ceiling of the station closely follows the theme of "rainbow", which is reflected by the curved grille and light strips. At the same time, the brightness and hue of the light can be adjusted to form a rainbow effect. The design takes "city wall" as the main design idea of the wall, and introduces the elements of the city wall in the south of the Han Dynasty into the wall design of the Rainbow Bridge Station, selects the beige travertine material with a sense of history and art, and adds lighting. The system simulates different texture effects to restore the vicissitudes of history of Rainbow Bridge as the fortress of Xiguan in southern Guangdong, and optimizes the columns to be V-shaped columns with a column spacing of 18 meters, which makes the field of vision wider and enriches the level of the station space. The ground of the station is made of natural stone with a water ripple mechanism, which echoes the theme of the rainbow.

The construction area of Rainbow Bridge Station is about 86,000 square meters, which is equivalent to four ordinary stations and is a super-large station.

The latest starting and ending point of Foshan-Guangzhou-Dongguan Intercity Railway has been announced, and it is planned to start from Luzhou, Foshan in the west and Songshan Lake in Dongguan in the east. On August 31, the Intercity railway started bidding for a number of projects such as design, survey, etc. The line is temporarily 113 kilometers long and has 31 stations for bidding, and the final approval from the government shall prevail.

The total length of Foshan-Guangzhou -Dongguan Intercity Railway is 107 kilometers. The bidding announcement posted on August 31 shows that the length of the line is planned to increase to 113 kilometers, starting from Luzhou in Foshan and ending at Songshan Lake in Dongguan, all of which are underground lines, of which the Foshan section is 25.7 kilometers, the Guangzhou section is 50.6 kilometers, and the Dongguan section is 36.7 kilometers.

The total project scale of the supporting stations of the hub is 95,000 square meters, covering an area of 7.02 hectares. The total land area of the 10 station complexes is 105.54 hectares. The Haizhuwan Tunnel Project, invested and constructed by Guangzhou Communications Investment Group and undertaken by the China Railway 14th Bureau, spans Haizhu District and Panyu District vertically. The total length is 4.35 kilometers. Among them, the shield section is 2,077 meters long and the excavation diameter is 15.07 meters.
