Can't imagine that. I was here at the start together with Fusi and Kuesel.
Well, maybe you was on holiday. Cause I was only active for two weeks; the beginning of summer vacation. Got more than 300 posts
And DJOEZ and Barragon were also some of the early GTCers - whatever happened to them...
My very first GTC (before the section existed) was Auxerre BTW - also not my hometown Inside of the section my first one was a pack of 5 places.

the first ever GTC I saw ( but didn't participate ) was of Grimsby, UK in the UK forum.. Jan 2002 I think. It was teh earlier version of SSC
My first ever GTC thread was Corydon, UK ( not my city ) in Sep 2004 before the GTC section was born. I don't remember who won it ( he doest participate anymore ) but I remember Kuesel complaining cos he thought Croydon was not a city but only a part of London
I am not sure but my first GTC that was moved to GTC forum form the main section probably was of Birmingham UK
I think the first GTC I started in the GTC sectino after it was formed was of Colombo

The first GTC ever I saw in this forum was also about 2 years before I even joined (don't know why it took so long... :lol: ). I was searching for a paper I had to write data about some cities and landed in the google on SSC and there was this city pic that you had to guess - it was Eindhoven BTW
