Guiyang Metro is an metro system under construction in the capital city of Guizhou Province, China.

Line 1 is planned to open on 2017.

The master plan for the four lines with a total network size of 142 km.

Which of the 4 lines is connected to the city airport? :)

Long-distance buses aren't BRT. They are just shuttle buses going to smaller cities in the province.
Though there is a railway network serving the entire Guizhou province right? :)

No there are only two railways that goes north-south and east-west through Guizhou like a cross with Guiyang as the hub in the middle.
The province only has about 25-30 % urbanization so many live in isolated villages in the mountains with dirt roads leading there.
Guizhou is the poorest province in China and the infrastructure is quite underdeveloped. It's also very mountainous so building railways and road is expensive since you must build bridges and tunnels. Though this is changing as the government has invested in infrastructure in it's poorer provinces, so right now they are building infrastructure everywhere in the province.

Guiyang (pronounced Kuei-iang) section is now on the main page on Ditiezu, so it means it's opening soon! I remember back when I registered in this forum (2010) someone had posted some expected openings, and the one furthest in the future was Guiyang. At that time I thought 2017 was really far away (for Chinese standards), and here we are now. But, like it has happened in Qingdao, Fuzhou and Nanning, line 1 is going to open in two steps: first between Xiamaixi and the North Station, expected for September, and then the rest sometime in 2018.
