Hello, firstly i would like to introduce myself. Im joe and im a second year photography student at the London College Of Communication and i would say im an architecture enthusiast!
I am interested in researching past social housing projects, such as the inter-war years, but more specifically the post war modernist housing projects and high rises that are scattered throughout london.
I am fascinated by the success and failure of certain housing projects and the factors involved, and a part of this being the architectural concept and ideologies of the architect. I am very keen to research into the architects designed houses to see if these are a continuation of their concepts.
I have been looking at the work of Alison and Peter Smithson, Erno Goldfinger, Derek Winch, Denys Lasdun, Jack lynn and Ivor Smith so far.
This is where i was after a bit of help! So far i have only been able to find Erno Goldfinger's home as it is a national trust site. I wanted to ask if anybody knows the houses of the architects listed or any other architects involved in related post war social housing? The help for this project would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance, and i look forward to speaking to you all.
