Hi folks,

I'm trying to identify the architect who designed this house:

I believe the house was built in the early 1880s in Mansewood, in the South side of Glasgow.

I know that Tudor revival is sometimes associated with the arts and crafts movement, but I need some expert advice on this!

Even a short list of likely candidates of this style in the 1880s in Glasgow would be really helpful.

Cheers!

Dave.

Hi maccoinnich!

Does the house still exist?
Yes, we live there.
I found an entry in the General Register of Sasines (Renfrew, 1873) recording the sale of the land with the condition that a house be build in 1 year. I need the architect's name.

Is it listed?
No.
Given that the house has a distinctive style, I was hoping someone would recognise the architect.

I'll try contacting http://www.scottisharchitects.org.uk/ and see if they can help.

Thanks!
