Renowned French 'high wire' specialist Didier Pasquette is to walk 90m above the ground between 3 of the Red Road flats this Saturday the 21st at 11am.

It will be filmed by 5 16mm film cameras, one of which i'll be loading. I'll hopefully be at a good vantage point and will try and get some photos of the event.

The High Wire walk has been posponed until at least 11am on Sunday morning due to a poor weather forecast.

I only registered and posted to let you guys know it was postponed,
but i see you already do,so never mind;-)
I might look out of my window and wave to the fella if it actually goes ahead!
He could have done it today after all it seems,so thats a shame.
Now it might well lash from the heavens the morra,
and that will scupper it again! Theres a wee shop set up for meeting him afterwards too if you want pics of the madman!
by the look of things downstairs they are all ready and set for tomorrow anyway

argh!:mad2: I got there and walked around only to be told by some guy that it had been postponed. I'm gutted! Serious deprivation and dereliction up at Red Road, I found out some mound of Concrete with grass and metal on it is in fact a bunch of old shops.

I believe so.

I had a great view though, One of the Big Slab Blocks towering above me and the 3 point blocks with the two ropes in front of me. Still gutted though, I was looking forward to some death defiying action.
