This would be the highest span in Europe ( in the world). Unfortunately no good satellite pictures are available, but there seem to exist at least one electricity pylon nearby. Can one of the forum members please check, if there is really a powerline with such a great ground height and take pictures?

@HappilyINSANE: Was there perhaps a span in earlier times? I have the information from an air-traffic obstacle list from official authorities. If you give me your e-Mail adress, I can mail it to you, as it may be not downloadyable any more from the internet.
Nevertheless, such a span cannot be considered as the tallest structure. It crosses a deep valley. The towers carrying it are not taller than standard transmission towers.
Ok so your saying there should be two pylons on opposite sides of the glen carrying a powerline above at an elevation of 400 odd meters, seems extremely unlikely but you can send info to [email protected], ive done a pretty comprehensive search checking google maps with images of the Glen, it is extremely remote, about as isolated as you can get in the whole of western europe, it has no infrastructure apart from forest tracks and a private road with a few buildings. I cant think of anything apart from possibly a small hilltop structure at that elevation, anyway give me the info and ill look into it further.Nevertheless, such a span cannot be considered as the tallest structure.
