West Lake Park?
Gee, LA was a really nutty city back then!
Damn LA is really a new city as in "infant".

Westlake Park...before Wilshire split it in half and before the war that made a hero of a certain Army general that would eventually become its new namesake.
Thanks, 'botox. I would have lived here then...

Angelenos made something out of nothing and continue to do so...

The Hall of Records so far is the best building LA has destroyed.

jesus, great photos!...and to think that this area used to be a dry (water-deprived), dusty, desert town a little more than a 100 years ago. Now it's a world-class metropolis whose influence reaches the far corners of the globe!
