it looks awesome in my opinion
ralph's bay is pretty much a stinky dump infested with heavy metals, so I find it amusing how all the anti-development bunnies are trying to 'save it'

that said no idea why anyone would want to actually live in a stinky dump!
hope they're sure about their sea-level rise stats :D
Stupid NSW govt bans canal developments which is very attractive to Ballina!
Where's Ralph's Bay?
Where's Ralph's Bay?
Its a small bay adjacent to the Hobart suburb of Lauderdale - on Hobart's eastern shore about 20 kilometres east from central Hobart. Population around 2,500.
The area being developed is pretty much in the centre of this map:

http://maps.google.com.au/?ie=UTF8&ll=-42.90816,147.480898&spn=0.034262,0.055275&t=h&z=14

Zoom out if you want to see location relative to the CBD.

This development would be great, the problem is that previous proposals by the same company in the same area have been critised constantly by the Greens - that now any reference to "ralphs bay development" gets shouted down. However what Ordex says about it being a dump is true! Greens are being unreasonable in this case, but they have got so much media time with this, that their view is seen as the "right" one.
Stupid bloody Greens! :bash:
Hobart's continuing to go backwards year after year after year and they are mostly always the cause of it!

It won't get any better either.

"Ooooo look at that spotted hand fish...."

Christ's sakes :eek:hno:
