Hong Kong 2008 Photo Series #8 - Fireworks

Chinese New Year brings the fireworks as usual. I met up with a fellow forumer to go to the Peak to watch. Although some photographers had already set up their gear along Lugard Road, we were still able to secure a good, open spot 45 min. before they began. Not bad .. although February 2008 was quite cold, and trying to keep the tripod steady amidst the wind was a bit tough.

Hey man, I think your butt+ your face are the ugliest. Oh...having a cat's picture representing you is quite a big insult to it. Please don't do it next time:bash:
Fireworks are invented by the Chinese after all ...

What has gotten into everyone???!! The next person to continue this childish squabble gets an infraction.

Nice pics. Where does the fireworks come from? out of the water? Do you have firework function on your photocamera? ;) I have it. Don't know when to use it :dunno:

Boats in Victoria Harbour - during New Year's Eve, they had fireworks coming out of the buildings as well (well, one building anyway), which they also do on some occassions in tandem with the Symphony of Lights (more than one building though).

What's a firework function?
I didn't use the fireworks mode either. I just used night mode and regular mode.
Beautiful pix. I think you haven´t missed any firework of the whole night. Again wonderful pictures.
