Nepal has a lot to offer when it comes to hotels, restaurants and other eateries. Tourism is a major provider of employment in Nepal and that has caused a lot of lodging options to spring up.

As for restaurants and eateries, Nepal offers a diverse array of options as well. This is reflected by Nepal's diverse population.

Please feel free to post pics. :)

Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu, Nepal

The Hyatt Regency in Kathmandu is a 5-star hotel located near Bouddhanth. It is one of the more upscale hotels in Nepal and can get a little pricey. Nevertheless, it reflects Nepal's architectural heritage to a large extent.

Dwarika's Hotel, Kathmandu

Built upon a rich tradition of Nepali hospitality and incorporating some of the country’s most exquisite architectural traditions, The Dwarika’s Hotel in Kathmandu is an authentic experience of Nepal’s ancient cultural heritage.

The hotel houses an extensive collection of artefacts from the 13th century onwards, and the buildings and courtyards house some of Nepal’s best craftsmanship – capturing the beauty and spirit of an ancient city. The amalgamation of Nepal’s heritage with its longstanding tradition of hospitality makes The Dwarika’s Hotel in Kathmandu an intimate experience of a refined Nepali lifestyle.

This hotel is definitely my favorite, at least aesthetically. It captures Kathmandu's architectural heritage in so much detail. But, it is very expensive when compared to other hotels in Kathmandu.

Degaa Restaurant

Degaa means Shrine in Newari. Restaurant located exactly opposite to the resting place of Living God Kumari in time of Rato Machinddranath Festival, which is celebrated every year in Lalitpur. Degaa Resto Lounge serves Good Newari, Nepali and Indian Food. As it is located in the heart of Kumaripati shopping street, it’s the ideal place for a shoppers stop. For a tourist who comes for a visit in Lalitpur, it’s the right place to try some Newari, Local Cuisine from the old Newar town. Degaa serves the authentic and hygienic Newari food in Patan. The Restaurant floor is carpeted with the woods and ceiling has wooden beams like in old houses of Lalitpur. To add to it the wall is painted with mud giving the warmth of nature. The furniture are made of woods which feels pleasant to touch and see. The long bar welcomes for the drink on chill weather and chill beer on the sunny day. The Newari appetizers are the best taken along with the drinks.
