By Nancy Sarnoff

(Not to be confused with Hines Market Square apartments ;))

HFF lines up financing for Market Square Tower

HFF announced it has arranged financing on behalf of Woodbranch Investments to develop Market Square Tower, a 40-story apartment building under construction at at 777 Preston.

Woodbranch broke ground on the tower in August. At 40 stories, the building will be the tallest residential structure in downtown Houston, consisting of 463 units ranging from 550 square feet to 1,950 square feet, plus 21,000 square feet of retail space.

Designed by Jackson & Ryan Architects, Market Square Tower will take up the block bounded by Milam, Preston, Louisiana and Congress across from Market Square Park. Completion is planned in fall 2017.

Loving the height on this tower! It almost feels like the rooftop pool area is too small for such a large building though.
I just now realized the pool cantilevers over the edge. If the bottom of this section of the pool is transparent, it would be an interesting dive into this part of the pool.
