New apartments for Hout Bay
29 Nov 2010

Hout Bay, with its sheltered position, magnificent sea and mountain views and its trendy lifestyle, is to get a new six-storey block of flats that will be built at the entrance to Hout Bay harbour.

The Hout Bay Water Club has 49 apartments selling for between R1,15-million and R2,79-million. It backs onto the Table Mountain Reserve, faces the beach and harbour and is within walking distance of a number of art galleries, coffee shops and restaurants.

The Hout Bay property will feature state-of-the-art security with a 24-hour concierge service, electric perimeter fencing and an intercom system linking all units with the front gate. Its high-quality fittings and finishes include Bosch ovens and hobs, co-ordinated interior lighting, beechwood laminate flooring in the living areas, porcelain tiles in the kitchens, ADSL connectivity and the option of air-conditioning and under-floor heating in all units.

The majority of the units will be sold with two underground secure parking bays. One-bedroomed apartments are priced from R1,15-million and two-bedroomed units from R1,895-million. The duplex penthouses will cost from R2,795-million upwards.

Pam Golding Properties’ MD for the Western Cape metro region, Laurie Wener, says the development offers excellent value for money as well as easy access to all amenities.

“This charming coastal village with a strong sense of community offers excellent shopping facilities, major supermarkets and smaller retailers catering for virtually every day-to-day need.

“There are also a number of easily accessible options for schooling and medical care,” she says.

Hout Bay offers residents a sense of relaxed seaside living – yet, it is just 20 minutes from the central city, with easy access to the beaches and suburbs along the Atlantic Seaboard and the South Peninsula.

“It is an idyllic place to raise a family, and a safe and peaceful haven too,” says Wener.

The apartments can be secured on the basis of a ten percent deposit and no transfer duties. Construction will begin early next year and owners will be able to take occupation in the latter half 2012.
