And it isn't "no limit" any more in Australia's Northern Territory, it's 130 km/h as well.
It's weird that sparsely populaded countries like the USA, Canada and Australia have generally lower speed limits than the densely populated Europe. The 130kph in Norther Territory is probably only in theory, as the region has no motorways at all.

I think that map is not the subject of our discussion here. Let's stick to Croatian motorways here, please.

To get back to our actual topic: There's news from a government meeting that took place today.

I will summarize in bullet points:
- A5 bridge over Sava river was intended to be finished by the end of 2014, but the joint contract with BiH and the investors was canceled, now the beginning of works of the bridge is expected in the end of 2015.
- A5 bridge over Drava river is ongoing, since 2nd half of 2011, expected to be finished at the end of 2015.
- A5 motorway section from Osijek to the Drava bridge will be constructed starting in 2015 in full profile
- A5 motorway section from the north side of the bridge to Beli Manastir (1st phase) will begin in 2015, depending on the financial situation, and then be finished as expected, as will the 2nd part from Beli Manastir to the Hungarian border. The section Čeminac-Osijek will be opened in 2016 in half profile.
This section will not be built in full profile, but only in 2x1 for now.

49.2 km of motorway and 31.6 km of expressway are expected to be finished in 2015

D1 expressway is finally open in its whole length and full profile 2+2 (3+2, 3+3)

Evo slika zapadnog kolnika brze ceste Solin-Klis-Dugopolje. Slike nisu neke kvalitete, vozia san i slikava sa mobitelom. Uz to je sunce virilo iz oblaka plus refleksija od mokre ceste. Pa da počmem.

https://vlada.gov.hr/UserDocsImages//Sjednice/2014/200 sjednica Vlade//200 - 20a.pdf --> VERY interesting document, maybe have a look at this with Google Translate if you want to read about all the details!

And even more news just in from the Croatian daily newspaper Večernji list:

Croatia has applied for EU money for construction of the following projects that were ranked in order of importance:

Priorities

PRIMARY

1) Connection to the south of Croatia - beginning of works expected in 2016, to be finished by the end of 2019

2) Rijeka: D403 state road, mid 2016 - mid 2018

3) Omiš bypass, 2016-2023

SECONDARY

1) Bridge across the Sava river connecting Croatian A5 with Bosnian E661 motorways at Gradiška, not first priority right now

2) Third lane of Zagreb-Karlovac motorway (A1), also set aside for now

The EU has not decided on allocating the funds yet.

What the hell does that mean? "To the south"? Full motorway extension of A1 from Metkovic via Neum and Dubrovnik to Montenegro? :?
