Why so many floodlights? I was under the impression that, with modern bulbs, fewer floodlights were necessary?
Considering that Allianz Arena has 296 bulbs for 2,500 lux, so this stadium having 144 seems reasonable.

Hungary made a huge makeover of their football venues. World class Puskas Arena is the best.
BUDAPEST - New Multifunctional Arena (20,022) - 2022 Men’s EHF Euro

This world class arena can host a Kontinental Hockey League team, and also an NHL international game, as well as an NBA preseason game.
I'd bet on it hosting Euroleague Final Four at some stage. I might be wrong, but my research suggests hockey isn't popular at all in Hungary.
Hockey can be popular by bringing an NHL international game here in 2023. Euroleague final four is likely, not this season, but maybe in a few years.

Ice Hockey is really the second/third most popular sport in Hungary.

1. Football
2-3. Handball / Ice Hockey
4. Basketball
5. Water Polo
6. Futsal
7. Volleyball

Hungary - Kazakhstan: 2-1 (2013., WCh, Budapest, 9.000 spectators)

Hungary - Poland: 3-2 (2018., WCh, Budapest, 9.000 spectators)

Hungary - China: 4-3 (1983., WCh, Budapest, 10.000 spectators)

fair enough, got that wrong lol. What level of popularity would you say?

In Germany, hockey, basketball and handball are all popular, but they are so far behind football that it doesn’t really say much to be second most popular. In France rugby is much closer to football. Would it be a Germany or France situation in Hungary?

With the new arena attendance numbers of handball, basketball and hockey will be doubled.
