In one acre 5 MW of solar power can be produced therefore in 6000 acres approximately 30,000 MW of power can be generated.The capital cost for installing solar panels to generate 1000MW including the cost of land would be Rs9000 crores.The cost per unit of power net of subsidy would be Rs8/-.Additional cost of solar inverter and batteries if needed to store the generated power for use during nights will be aeound Rs1500 crores which adds to the units cost of power by another Rs1.50.At present only smaller units up to 50MW solar power plants are set up.No where in one go 1000Mws of solar power plant is set up till date.They have to make feasibility and viability study studiously.

Does anybody how many solar panels you would need to run 1.5 liter AC, TV, 4 fans and few light bulbs?

If you use AC for 12 hrs in a day along with TV 4 fans and few light bulbs you require atleast 16 units a day then you require 3 KW capacity solar panels.

We have devised plans to cross 20,000 MW in three years. By June 2015, we will get 300 MW from central generating stations. Another 1200 MW from Singareni and 600 MW from Bhupalapally by August 2015 and another 600 MW from Singareni by 2015-end. In this way, we will add 2,600 MW by 2015-end.

No power cuts in TS from May: KCR

A wishful dreams.Hope the power outages this summer is not for longer periods.Another problem looming large this summer is acute water shortage.

Seeing those late night like 3AM, they said there is maintenance going on many places.

Inspite of all these complaints Hyderabad power supply is better than Bengaluru where I suffered for long hours of power outages.
