What do you think about this website and its message to complete strangers?

What are the strengths of this strategy? What part is most appealing to you?

What are the weaknesses of this strategy? What part is most missing to you?

The Golf Channel, will provide four days of live coverage and three days of repeat broadcasts of the BMW Charity Pro-Am. The “blown away” campaign will be shown during 52, 30-second commercials, with another 50 commercials run within the channel’s regularly scheduled shows.

They're all white!
They're all white!
I understand what you intended to say, and I totally agree that more diversity should be added to reflect the region's acceptance of all people. To be fair to the creators of this campaign, there are at least a couple commercial spots (look for "entertainment" and "housing") which highlight a black families. Many international transplants could easily be added (and should be) to provide adequate coverage as well. :)

Anyone have anything else to add? Positive, negative?
I'm Rickydavisfan and I was blown away by the shitty Clipping Paths of people, and the bad color correction. I was also blown away by the shitty picture of sheena thompson, and the fact that it looks liek someone took a bite out of the bottom of her hair on the right side. Good try/idea tho Upstate.
Alright now for a honest critique.
At a Business Standpoint I give the Idea a solid B. It caters mostly to the business side, because it uses cold figures that seem rather impersonal. Everyone, with except of the culinary guy, seem very drab and unkind to me, which drives me away. I've seen this exact look somewhere and It'll take me a min to figure out where it was, but thats only something I would notice because I am a graphic designer. If this is a website meant for attracting new business then I'm all for it. However the call to action is really pretty weak, and there is nothing that says OMG I NEED TO VISIT THE UPSTATE!

Good honest opinion. A solid B isn't bad. It's above average. How exactly do they seem unkind though? Did they yell at you? :dunno:
