Ieoh Ming Pei's architecture can be described by its confidence in innovation, refined by its nuance, lyricism, and magnificence. Pei was conceived in Canton China in 1917 and went to the United States in 1935 to study first at the University of Pennsylvania and after that at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (B.
