I don't know if this building goes in this thread, so if any moderator knows it is wrong, please move it to the correct era-thread.


One of the best examples of latinamerican baroque is the Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús in Quito, Ecuador. It was started in 1605 and it take it 160 years for the ecuadorian amerindians to complete the building. First designed by Durán Mastrilli but modified later by brother Marcos Guerra in 1636. All the inside of this church is covered in GOLD. Now it's one of the most beautiful and ancients representations of latinamerican baroque.

voted 8/10 reminds me of Dubai...a lot of plated gold on the walls...nice.
Very beautiful interior. This is a special case for me where I find the interior more beautiful and interesting than the exterior (although the exterior looks beautiful as well)
