I believe it's officially a fishermen's village. There are many complex issues involved with the usual mix of feuding social activists, politicians and administration who in the end just manage to maintain status quo in their quest to do "good".

This is the best thread ever made in SSCI, this thread shows the real image of developing India, sun, can we post this anywhere in International forums?
cool yaar.......no wonder India has developed, at least in the Infra sector

Sun, add the renovated, Chepauk, Eden and Wankhede Stadium, then and now!!...also IT hubs of various cities, like OMR, Whitefield, Sec-5, etc....i guess they have changed a lot during this time frame!!
