Interesting old pictures.
Are you referring to the Kenosha Streetcar? I've heard about it, but I haven't been there yet to check it out.I can't believe that the train used to run as recently as the 80's. Reminds me of the train that still circles downtown Kenosha. Have you seen that yet?
Just a few, pretty limited in scope. I took them in 2002, when I rode the trail from 38th Street to Carmel. Those pictures must have been taken just a few years before they took the tracks up. For the out of towners, it is now the Monon Trail, which runs for about 16 miles from a mile NE of downtown Indy straight through the north side of Indiapolis through prime Indianapolis neighborhoods like Meridian-Kessler, Broad Ripple, Nora and Carmel. It could have made a very ideal commuter rail or light rail corridor, but that is pretty unlikely now because of the extreme popularity of the Trail. Anybody have any current pictures of the Monon trail to post?
