What's wrong with this country? Most of the time its really embarrassing to be Iraqi! I mean these kids have probably never really enjoyed a good life that most of us enjoy here in the U.S. or Europe going through wars and living in a (honestly) crappy ugly broken mud-coloured dry and hot country and now after all these wars and daily anxiety they are now being killed for having what...long hair?!? Honestly even a theocratic state in Iran seems to be more tolerant ... and its not even the state that dictates to kill them its these sick wa7ish people in this country. I wonder how old the killers are? Probably a bunch of sexually and socially frustrated typical Iraqi 50-60 year olds: small with a big fat belly (karrish). How dare they be so arrogant to think that their low existence is of any more importance than that IRAQI teenagers - the workforce and money generators of tomorrow. Its not like we haven't lost enough sons and daughters to the hand of soldiers and terrorists, no we must lose more to religion abusing idiots. All I can say is: damagh-sis!!

Germans having a thought in 1945: Hey our country is totally destroyed how about we rebuild the country and provide basic services for our nation and people and transform our economy and our country to one of the richest the world has ever seen within a few years?

Iraqis having a thought in 2012: Hey our country is totally destroyed how about we rebuild this country to provide for our nation and people? What nation and people?!? I'm shia, I'm sunni, I'm christian, I'm kurd ... I want my lousy group to profit from it all and the others to suffer muahaha...because I have minority issues...but hey you know how about we kill a few Iraqi teenagers...their hair is too long!! Filthy western influence (and how COULD we even orient ourselves on the evil godless yet strangely developed and beautiful west...)
hahaha dude what's wrong with you chill out. How can you compare germany with iraq. I mean even their dictator became a president in a democratic process which isn't the case with Saddam Hussein :d
What's wrong with being emo? I don't even know that there's already emo's so 2007 - 2008

Nothing is wrong with me I'm simply appalled by the fact that some people seem to have nothing better to do than to kill teenagers for a hairstyle instead of I don't know...repair the electrical grid? Plus why shouldn't I compare Germany to Iraq. It's not like Germans were always the rational people they are known to be nowadays seeing as they are responsible for the planned killing of 6 million people. But they got their act together because they knew it's their only choice.

Besides I just wanted to make the killings an issue because as you quote "there is no wealth like knowledge, no poverty like ignorance".
This seems to be an over exaggerated subject that was use for political turmoil. (cover ups- game blaming). The targets were homosexuals who expose themselves in public and not "emo". Notice how it just went on media then dissapeared all of a sudden. The channels that helped spread it were (sharqiya, baghdadia?, alarabiya, and aljazeera)
I think we al know how much these channels love spreading good news about Iraq.

I don't think we need a thread for this

Oooh the target was homosexuals, not emos? Thank you...now everything is justified. I'm not angry any longer. Yes probably those creepy **** teenagers in Baghdad running around "exposing" themselves with rainbow flags. They should just continue killing them...like that: :bash:

Or..how about...we leave them alone?

What an ingenious idea...why didn't we think of that....

Go on make fun of me if it pleases you. But from alshawi1234's comment "the targets were homosexuals who expose themselves in public and not 'emo'" I got the expression that he or she somehow justified the killings now and I just wanted to remark that I still don't see them justified. So I don't really see a sense behind your comment.

ask him directly what he meant?

Yes I should have. I apologize to alshawi1234 for replying in such a rude manner instead of simply asking him what he or she ment!!
I'm not saying the killing is okay, but I mean the purpose of media focus on this issue wasn't for human rights reasons. It's just part of the media war against Iraq, the enemies of Iraq try to expose every negative aspect of Iraq.

It's like good words with evil intention.

You never see good news on these channels. There are many negatives in the Iraqi society just like every society. Honor killings, arranged marriage, poverty... the list doesn't end. but that also exists in other countries, why doesn't the media focus on the corruption in Saudi Arabia for example? I mean women aren't even allowed to drive and tens of foreign workers are killed from murder/suicide billions being taken by the ruling tribe, but you never see the media focus on that.

You don't even see this much condemnation and media focus in attacks that harvest tens of lives daily in Iraq.

Besides we're trying to reflect a positive image of the development in Iraq in this forum, not show how people are being murdered.

And sorry If I may had been offensive In anyway

^^ maybe

but i rather that the world know about these animals who kill for religion and ignorance than to be silent..

its not a lie.. iraq is becoming a religious state.. this makes me worry

do we want our country's future to be in the stone age like saudi arabia and Iran?

btw .. we already have a thread for this subject
The new Iraqi generation is anything but religious, the only time there religious is during Muharram and Ramadan ( which is positive). Anyways this is murder and not religious/honor killings. The government is busy with some much (stealing/fighting over power included) that many criminals get away with it. I wish that we only have a strong and stable government to control this type of chaos. I mean who the hell are these groups to try and make things go there way. We've already had enough of moqtada army and alqaeda crackheads,

But it is quite an embarrassment for Iraq to be portrayed as a Taliban-style state.
I don't agree with what you say alshawi1234. It's not only Iraqi channels reporting on the killing it's also the BBC or the NYT. Furthermore why should they not report on something that makes the "image" of Iraq bad if it is the truth. Who cares about the image of Iraq it is bad either way and these people responsible for such type of killings are the reason behind that. I don't like the reasoning of "why don't they focus on another country and portray Iraq as the land of good news". It's good Iraqi channels report on such killings because they bring the news into Iraqi homes where intelligent Iraqis can discuss the nonsense of these killings.
bruvs, we've already been over this a while back, when it was fresh in the news, and believe it or not, most of us were outraged at the backwards mentality of these monsters. These kids were mercilessly killed by some thugs with an inferiority complex, but you'd also have to admit that the story was more than slightly exaggerated by the media. they portrayed it as a war of some sorts on emos and homosexuals in iraq, when in fact the majority of the iraqi public was against these brutal killings. noone approved of the actions of these handfull of thugs, hence they stopped soon afterwards, when they saw they were alone in their radical views. now, i know more should have been done against these thugs, but we never claimed we were flawless. our government, police, army have to deal with terrorism, theft, corruption etc on a daily basis at a rate beyond their current capabilities. all i can say is it was a tragedy when it happened, but these sickos exist in every society, heck a guy just sent the dismember remains of a chinese student to a school in canada the other day, so as sick as they are, they arnt exclusive to us, and hopefully in the near future, when we get back on our feet, they would cease to exist altogether.

agree.. we already went through this before..
LOL Aladdin! Ba3ad wekit!!

We've already discussed this issue.. there was even more than one thread about this I think.
We already talked about this .... come on... it was some bad propganda by AL SHARQIYA TV (A backward TV channel, something like FOX News or Russia Today in the US., their main task is to question everything and go against it).
