Some people say Los Angeles and its suburbs are laid-back. But in area of about 16 million people, how can it be relaxed? Who feels that this is a misconception about this area? Can you prove this laid-back notion to be false?

LA is not laid back, it's "Business Casual"
I have to disagree.

L.A is probably one of the most laid back big cities on the planet.
It's totally up to where you hang, what kind of people you deal with, what kind of food you eat, what kind of weed you smoke.

Sure 'West L.A' is mostly business casual, but that's just west L.A. I couldnt care less about those business wannabes leaving meaningless life. L.A has it's real people too, check downtown, check East L.A, check South Central. They hustle for food, some of them really have to hustle to stay alive, still most of them in my opion are the most laid back people on the planet. They know what's up with the system.
