A bland 70's boxfest. That and downtown Jackson is as dead as ol' Andrew Jackson himself. Bleh. Average at best. 5.

I have been to Jackson, MS over 20 times. I know the city, it has nice suburban areas like Flowood, Canton and along Lakeland Drive, but its downtown area is nothing special. There are even huts close to downtown for the very poor because they cannot be called houses. Dangerous to walk after dark despite many police cars in the area. They even have an airport they call international although there are no international flights.
Some street level photos made by me.
