we already renovated Gelora Bung Karno on last year for asian games funded by indonesian government.
this new stadium only purposes for the jakarta football club and funded by jakarta's government. jakarta football club (Persija) is difficult to find stadium at jakarta because we only have gelora bung karno but gelora bung karno used to hold another event at the same time..

Why does Wikipedia list "BMW Stadium" as an alternate name?

Did BMW land a naming rights deal with Persija Jakarta?

i will feel ashamed by saying this but i'll do it anyway.
its not even BMW, the BMW the car brand. its a cringy slogan, shortened from Bersih Manusiawi Wibawa (Clean, Humanly, and Graceful).

i wish BMW will file a lawsuit so that they change the tacky name

Which sports arena is this stadium supposed to be modeled after?

Johan Cruyff Arena? Millennium Stadium? Friends Arena? Veltins-Arena?

It looks very European in style with that centrally located retractable roof.

After closely studying the above renders, this stadium more or less reminds of Gazprom Arena in Russia.
