~Trainspotting in Tokyo~

I'm going to use this thread to share my pictures of Tokyo metro area rail system and other areas of Japan I eventually visit.
Over the past few years I've become more and more interested in railways, and Tokyo is certainly a sort of Disneyland for trainspotters, isn't it? :)
I'll start with a few pictures taken from the Panorama House observatory at JR Central Towers in Nagoya, Central Japan. Unfortunately it was a little hazy...

About one month ago the new Tsukuba Express line running between Akihabara (Tokyo) and Ibaraki prefecture's science city of Tsukuba began operating. It takes 45 minutes to reach the final stop after 58,3 kms and 20 stations.

Entering Akihabara station:

The TX trains look like any other Japanese commuter train. Stations are pretty nice, though, and the WLAN is great.

Pictures Of Trip From Osaka To Aichi Expo

Here Are Pictures From A Trip From Osaka to Aichi Expo back in August when I was in Japan. Trip comprised of Osaka & Nagoya Urban rail, Linimo and Shinkansen. I also made brief stops in Kyoto and Nagoya Stations. There are a few pictures from the Aichi World Expo and the JR Pavillion there.

PS: These Pictures Are In No Particular Order

So people don't fall down the tracks. Also on that line, the train has no conductors and only one driver, so the driver is responsible for opening/closing the doors. Platform doors make the job easier for him/her.

I allways enjoyed Kyoto station..
that place so offsets the rest of Kyoto.
I agree with you. Kyoto is known as a city full of beautiful and historical monuments. The architecture at the JR Kyoto Station on the other hand is very futuristic. It's a striking contrast, which isn't always a bad thing.
