Eating out in Japan is quite interesting. Many restaurants have elaborate displays of its menu along the windows. You can find everything from traditional Japanese sushi and noodles to delicious desserts.

Japan's vending machine culture is quite amazing. You can buy so many things and these machines are everywhere. They're very convenient.

The ice cream vending machine. For only 110 yen you can choose from a wide array of flavours. I had a strawberry sorbet but there are more exotic combinations that are not very typical in the Western world.

There are plenty of opportunities for shots like this one in japan. I think the most I've seen in a row together was 11 machines.

Once on a bus in Tokyo I was bored and started counting the vending machines. I gave up after like 10 minutes and 300 or so machines. It's crazy.

I think it has to do with Japanese shyness. It's easier to deal with a machine. No embarassment, bows or sumimasens needed.
