The site for which the below two-tower complex was proposed back at the end of 2010 is back on the radar. It looks like the plan is to split the site, a slither of land just north of the Newport Green, up into eight smaller sites, create two new streets, construct a building with 338 units on one of them and temporary surface parking on the others.

Look forward to hearing more about this site.... looks like it's going to be a really intriguing development with several towers now instead of just two with all the splitting.

Being that Park and Shore is well underway and The Ellipse is nearly done, it is inevitable that Newport will keep marching further north. Hopefully Hoboken will make some progress on their train station expansion and new crossing of the tracks to make the actual station a shorter walking distance from Newport.

This site is just north of (immediately adjacent to) Newport Green, so not sure if this is technically 700 Washington, but it's part of the Newport North waterfront area. They are clearly getting ready to start construction of one of the major proposed towers in this new neighborhood.

After quite a bit of time of inactivity, there seems to be some action here. A new fence has been added - others have observed workers and new materials on site

Don't have any photos of this - but it is probably 15+ stories already.

The design has changed, or more correctly, there is a different building that has the same address now, known as "The Beach" - 24 stories and 12 stories.
