kalamunda is in the eastern suburbs of perth, but not many people in Perth, let alone Australia even know where or what it is. So on a quiet Thursady morning i decided to take a couple of photos and share a selection with those of you on skyscraper. But to truely experience it you should visit for yourself and also before Kalamunda was changed from Calamunda, Cala Munda meant "home in the forest" in the local aboriginal language. Might have some more after the first saturday of next month, as the first saturday of each month is market day.

no i have no idea what this is.

our own bus-station,

and these were taken about 2km north of kalamunda about 500m from my house

Perth's Warrandyte/Templestowe. Very attractive.
Purrrty! Great work!
Docker is my arch enemy. Mundaring > Kalamunda.
Mundaring > Kalamunda.

for one kalamunda has a better town centre, better sports facilites and teams(cricket/football/baseball):guns1: , better markets (when it happens), stirk park, history village, better royal show (kalamunda show) and a better railway which has been ripped up... the zig zag.:)

now i would like to see your counter argument for Mundaring.:jk:

any chance you played for Eastern Hills Footy club? or Eastern Hills Hornets baseball club?
Full of imagination - especially the last two ones !
wow...kalamunda. its not exactly a hidden paradise lol

i didnt know people never knew about here? hrmm

i used to work in darlington/forestfeild that way... got the exact same pics of the skyline on my phone haha....good views. But it was depressing working there for some reason, maybe cos its so far away. And something about having to drive along roe hwy at 5am out to the hills...so lonely!!

Gidgy Show is better. Mazo was always my voodo team at footy. Mundaring has great new sporting facilities, we have the weir and better parks. And actually our ripped up rail line is more important and might be replaced, aka via parky. Kala is just way bigger, but im sure if they get the go ahead with there spawl plans that will be fixxed. **** i got get closer to the city.

I won the state Teeball champ before i played baseball for the Eastern Hills Hornets.

the wier may be named after you'se but half of it is still in kala remember:)

the old zig zag might actualy get rebuilt as a tourist thing, except it won't go anywhere or come from anywhere. which is shocking:eek:hno: , it would just start from the bottom of the hill and stop at the top. if they are gonna rebuild they have to atleast have it go from midland to kala. and have you got any remenents from yours, we have a locomotive/carriage and station.

what do you mean voodoo team, don't tell me you used to play for/go to mazanod.:eek2:

if you used to play for the hornets i probaly played against you, i did and still play for the rangers before that i played teeball.

lol Nzer.

Docker I know of no one who doesn't know where kalamunda is, however i have difficulty spelling it lol.

the round-about on google maps is where that gum nut water fountain is, which are in the picture of the apartments.

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&t...53,116.057537&spn=0.002862,0.006931&z=18&om=1

the apartment block will be to the northeast of the round-about where all those brown roofed flats are.
