Revenue tower to be considered soon in Iritty: CM

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the revenue tower would soon be considered for consolidation of government office functions at the Iritty taluk center, which was sanctioned four years ago. CPI (M) Area Secretary Adv. The Chief Minister assured the Binoy Kurien-led delegation.

Earlier, the Public Works Department had prepared and submitted to the government a five-storey revenue tower at a cost of Rs. 20 Crore The government rejected the proposal citing a lack of funds. The petition also sought permission from the Revenue Tower to be included in the Nava Kerala Mission or Kifbi.

Music Museum at Makreri Temple



The Museum of Music is coming to the Makreri Temple. It is a part of the Thalassery Heritage Tourism project. It was granted administrative sanction. The museum will cost Rs 1.93 crore. In South India, it is the only such museum in Bangalore. With the arrival of the Music Museum, it will be a venue for music lovers from all over the world to enjoy their music and perform to musicians.

The Music Museum will serve to expose Kerala's musical heritage to the world. Kerala's unique musical instruments are on display here.

It also provides a physical environment for musicians and devotees to stay and enjoy the music. "We are planning to set up a Pazhassi Museum at Muzhakkunnu Mridanga Shaileshwari Temple at a cost of Rs 3.67 crore and a mural painting museum at Thodikkalam Temple at a cost of Rs 2.57 crore," said Ajit Parambath, executive officer.


The museum was designed by Calicut-based Space Art and D Earth. PP Vivek is the architect. There is also a plan to renovate the ancient temple with the Sahasra Sarovaram project. Devaswom has been allotted Rs 2 lakh for this purpose.

Makreri temple already has a museum where all the awards and honors of the doyen Sri. Dakshinamoorthy swamikal is displayed. The new museum is a good initiative in this context
