Kansas City Mayor Kay Barnes is in Winnipeg speaking at the 2006 Winnipeg City Summit which will "bring together 200 leaders in business, labour, universities and colleges, culture, media, community, youth and other sectors to examine Winnipeg’s opportunities and key barriers to the growth and flourishing of our city and the well being of its citizens".

From what I have read, Barnes is responsible for Kansas City's revitalization.
Can any Kansas City forumers comment on what she has done for your city?

THE CONVENTION CENTER EXPANSION

And countless other projects going on in DTKC. She's doing a great job.

I like the H&R building...niiice!

Just from searching on an engine, she appears to have been instrumental in helping revitalize downtown KC!
