Katzrin is the administrative center and largest town in the Golan Heights, which Israel captured in the 1967 Six-Day War. The town offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. To the south is the Sea of Galilee, to the north Mount Hermon, and to the west the hills of the Upper Galilee. As of mid 2005 there are 6,400 people living in Katzrin, almost all of whom are Jewish. The community was planned to grow into a city of 25,000 residents. Katzrin has an educational system and academic centers that serve the residents of the entire region, industrial plants, and facilities of culture and
recreation. Katzrin is a major center of tourism in the Golan Heights due to the historical sites it boasts. One of these is the ancient village of Kisrin, of the Mishnaic period. The village was destroyed in an eighth century earthquake, but still has archaeological remains of a synagogue, partially reconstructed, and foundations of ancient houses. Katzrin is home to a kosher winery and a mineral water plant.

Katzrin is a very beautiful town. i love that place.
Nice little town, I've been there many years ago. They have very good water - apparently one of the springs which is used for bottled water in Israel is also used for the main water supply in Katzrin.
amazing town,very clean and organized
boring,so provincy!
and far from any big city. if you want to go out friday night you go to the barn.
^^ as a resident or tourist?
u can ride horses..! :D

well i love this town, i bet when it grows little bit more they'll built more malls, caffes, plazas, etc etc...best town in whole Israel..! :D
Will Katzrin going to be part of Israel forever, no matter what?
For ever? LOL, nothing can guarantee ANY country's existance 'for ever' let alone its current territorial possessions.
unfortunately i think it's not going to remain Israeli. some day (and i see it happends in the next 5-10 years) we will return Golan to Syria for another fake peace agreement like we have with Egypt and Jordan.
we know that Shimon Peres and Tzipi Livni already said that they support this movement.

OH NO people with different opinions!!
Advocating violence is way uncool. Hmmm, Is there an equivalent slang word in Hebrew for uncool?

What would happen if someone had a home there and sovereignty was transfered? And, would you automatically have dual citizenship, becoming a citizen of Israel and Syria? Would the town of Katzrin be abandoned?

This region is by far one of the most beautiful in northern Israel that I've seen.

Having a different opinion is one thing, wanting to gun down those who you disagree with is quite another.
Yeh I think we need another Yigal Amir :).
Oh and of course, dont forget, we need another Kahane as well to run the country. He will take very very very good care of Israel.
:)
