NEW MEMU TRAINS IN NORTH MALABAR REGION
(a) whether the Government has received any request to introduce MEMU trains in North Malabar region, particularly between Calicut and Mangalore and if so, the details thereof;

(b) whether the Government has any plans in this regard;

(c) if so, the details thereof along with the timeline for introducing MEMU services in North Malabar region; and (d) if not, the reasons thereof?

ÀFAIK, the Rlys are expanding the capacity of the MEMU maintenance shed at Palghat.

Anybody has details may please share it with us.

In the new time table Cape - Dibrugarh Vivek exp becomes daily. But sad move that 12515/16 TVC-Silchar exp will be short terminated at Coimbatore.
Actually, this is a good move by Rlys.
There are many advantages for Rlys and for the travellers.

Instead of a train on Sunday afternoon, the people of NE can catch the Vivek express on Saturday night to GHY (and DBRG).

The train from CBE gives the NE psgrs from CBE and TUP good availablity.

Sunday evening peak hour congestion in tracks and PF crowding is reduced from TVC to CBE.

CBE-Silchar can depart on Saturday night, not Sunday as at present. This is going to help the NE psgrs. For Rlys, it helps to get the rake back a day earlier. Also, it reduces the Sunday peak crowds in RS.

The Vivek express also beprovides good TVC-CBE overnight service.

They will not be Bangladeshis. They are residents of the Murshidabad district in West Bengal. They are mistaken for Bangladeshis as they believe in a particular religion. True Bangladeshis prefer to migrate to Europe or the Gulf. They are not ready to migrate to India because they can not tolerate the beatings and spite by our people. Bangladesh now has a better economic environment than we do. We need to see if people are going from here to there

railway planning to cut and end the journey at ERS of foolowing trains
kerala sampark kranti exp
dehradoon KCVL exp
Amritsar KCVL Exp
There is NO basis for above statement.

Dehradun express is going to run via Alleppey in new TT, as already announced by Rlys.

Above trains used extensively by military and CAPF personnel.

Southern Railways (Arakonam loco shed) has introduced dual-mode locos, basically electric locos with a battery bank. The battery bank allows the engine to operate on sections without OHE.

This means the major technical obstacle towards reviving Cochin Harbour Terminus no longer exists. The railways can choose not to electrify the section between Naval Base and Mattacherry Halt (ie the section in front of the naval airport) and still run electric locos in the stretch.

^ What is your problem man? this is a development forum and post your 'chori' somewher else . 99.9% of those migrant workers from Bengal who committed any crime in Kerala , are Indians from West Bengal state. not Bangladeshis, as you said. And we have millions of Bengalis working in Kerala all we are hearing is some few crimes committed by them. that is not a big number to target every migrant workers. If they stop coming how you will find workers??

The present generation does not know that years ago our people cut down trees in the forests of Assam and drove rickshaws on the streets of Kolkata to feed their families.

We have to present this to our people's representatives. If we approach the Railway Authority with their support, we can start Trivandrum, Kannur, Rameshwaram, Karikal and Nilambur services from here.I assume from 7 pm to 7 am there will be no significant block at the Vathuruthy railway gate.

They do ''migrate'' to Europe, but definitely not in the way you suppose they would.

They are not ready to migrate to India because they can not tolerate the beatings and spite by our people
If that's the case incidents like that of Felani Khatun would never occur, right ? Maybe you should read Bangladeshi newspapers online, they have no qualms in accepting that there are illegal Bangladeshis in India.

Bangladeshis generally do menial jobs in India and contribute to the economy through hard work in exchange for meagre wages, whereas most Indians are gainfully employed in attractive jobs in Bangladesh, earning handsomely and remitting millions of dollars to India

It's a popular myth. Bangladesh is definitely not better off economically than KL or South India. Or even MH & GJ for that matter.

And the first to doubt such claims are Bangladeshis themselves. I don't want to go into the details but do think how a country which consume one-third of smartphones, one tenth of motorcycles & one-third of energy (kgs of oil equivalent) per capita that of India can be ''better off'' than us. ;)
