Lady Gaga,

In the future learn to understand what is being said and then jump to conclusions. According to the video, the first phase of the airport should be completed in 2018. The first phase is everything you see in the pictures posted.

in 2025 and 2040 are dates when expansions to this project are made i.e. expanding terminal , presidential terminal , bus stations etc

The airport is now being built by Summa, The Turkish firm that built the new airport in Dakar.

Sudan’s Ministry of Finance has signed a deal with the Turkish company, Summa, to build the new Khartoum international airport at an estimated cost of $1.15 billion.

According to Quds Press, Summa pledged to finish the first phase of the project worth $800 within 30 months.

Sudan’s Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Othman al-Rekabi, signed the agreement on behalf of his government along with Summa’s chairman, Salim Bora.

The Sudanese newspaper Al-Shoroq quoted Al-Rekabi as saying the “agreement represents a new launch in the field of private sector infrastructure investments in the country and this is in keeping with the country’s policy aimed at affordable investment opportunities for local and foreign investors.”

According to Al-Rekabi, “the ultimate aim of this agreement is the constriction of a modern international Sudanese airport that reflects an admirable image of the country, which enjoys a strategic geographical location as it interconnects Asia, African and Europe.”

He added: “The direct involvement of the Turkish firm in infrastructure projects will encourage several international firms to invest in similar projects in the country.”

Meanwhile, Turkey’s Deputy Economics Minister, Al-Fateh Matin, said that Summa has succeeded in major construction projects in 15 countries, including 11 in Africa.

Phase 1 will support 6 million pax, after Phase 2 is complete it'll be 9 million pax, then after Phase 3 the airport will have a 12 million pax capacity.

Although the project is still in the design phase construction will officially begin the first quarter of 2019. Title will be updated when more information is released.

Turkish firm to start building Sudan's biggest airport

A Turkish construction company will start building Sudan's biggest airport early next year, according to the firm's chairman.

"We will lay the foundation for the Khartoum International Airport in the first quarter of 2019 and complete it in less than 36 months," Selim Bora, the chairman of construction firm Summa, told Anadolu Agency.

Bora stated that the three-phase project is worth $1.15 billion.

"First we will built a terminal with a 6 million-person [annual] capacity along with all infrastructure services, runways, and airport aprons," he said.

Bora added the airport's annual capacity will reach 9 million in the second phase and 12 million in the third phase.

The project, developed on the build-operate-transfer model, is currently in the design phase, he said.

Saying that Sudan has the largest surface area in Africa, Bora added the airport will also serve other countries in the region.

"Currently airports in Cairo and Addis Ababa are the most important and effective ones on the continent," he noted.
