KLM say bye to the Fokker 70 Aircraft

This weekend marked the end of Fokker 70 operations with KLM also the end of Fokker aircraft in the KLM fleet

The last flights took place on the 28th October when PH-KZU operated the last flight of the fleet with a flight from London Heathrow to Amsterdam

Norwich last flight was carried out by PH-KZS

The departure was graced by a water cannon salute by the airport fire service, marking the end of the KLM 70s at Norwich

Sunday morninng and cold wet witnessed the arrival of the final 4 KLM Fokker 70s

Will these go to the scrapyard or preserved at a museum?
Just an update on the KLM Fokker 70s at Norwich
all im afraid have been painted White and remain at Norwich for onward sale
Only one that has left is PH-KZL which has gone to Tus Airways Cyprus and rumored to be followed soon by PH-KZM

All the former KLM Fokker 70s are still at Norwich and painted white
PH-KZL & PH-KZM have departed for Tus Airways Cyprus

70s at NWI January 2018 Update

We are now down to just 2 former KLM 70s at Norwich now after the fleet has found new homes
